Get to know John and Katäri
... of MysteryVisits

Socrates made a big mistake.

Most of our awareness – the perception we call "reality" – actually is an illusion created by our minds, and that history is just a shared illusion. Socrates taught this view, and his arguments are hard to refute. He said simply that human beings must rely on their perceptions, and perceptions are by nature subjective, and therefore unreliable.

Well, Socrates was a little careless about how he applied his teachings. The result was, he was executed by the government of Athens.

John C. Sherwood and Katäri K. Brown are happy to live in more enlightened times, when constructive alternatives to life's challenges are acceptable and put to beneficial use. As a result, John and Katäri can share their discoveries about space, time and the human mind with the others who enjoy the grand life our free society provides – and who want to make it better.

John and Katäri are the people of MysteryVisits, and they are reality shifters and thought viewers.

A reality shifter is a person who can – like Socrates – invite others to consider the universe in new ways. Sometimes, a reality shifter manipulates thoughts, making them vanish, appear or change like some sort of conjurer. Some people call it "special effects wizardly of the brain." You probably would, too. Sometimes a reality shifter simply guides people who want to shift their personal realities toward something more constructive and beneficial.

A thought viewer is a person who can access information that other people unknowingly – sometimes even unwillingly – "broadcast." Most people fail to pick up the signals, but with practice and understanding one can pick up the signals and put them to mutually constructive use.

From their youth, both John and Katäri were determined to understand the world and were fascinated with what they learned. Now they're sharing their insights and discoveries. As a result, thousands of people across the United States and in Europe can testify that John and Katäri indeed have coached and guided them to shift their own realities – for the better – in an entertaining and exciting way. John labels their work "transnormalist wonder-working."

For more than 30 years, Sherwood has demonstrated uncanny skills during experiments in remote viewing, thought reading and character analysis, and his work has taken him repeatedly to Europe. John, who was born in 1950 in Michigan, is a journalist who has been honored repeatedly by the Michigan Press Association, The Associated Press and Gannett Co. for his decades of work as a writer, commentator and editor. He has a master's degree in professional writing and his articles. have appeared in a variety of magazines, including Psychic World, Occult, Beyond Reality and Skeptical Inquirer. His studies of transnormalist wonders also led him to create and maintain North America's leading Web site devoted to the life and work of science pioneer Arthur C. Clarke. You can learn more about John's career by reading his professional résumé.

Katäri Brown, who was born in 1969, also in Michigan, is the daughter of a professional artist/astrologer. She also is a musician, composer and song stylist. Katäri's unique personal background provides her with grand insights gleaned from her studies of the age-old arts of palmistry and astrology. What's more, even though her native tongue is English, her many travels have prompted her to become fluent in Japanese, French and the global language called Esperanto Katäri also has a doctorate in clinical psychology, and her daily professional work involves the treatment of dual-diagnosis substance abusers. The American Psychological Association honored her in 2001 by asking her to give her doctoral research findings at their annual meeting in San Francisco. You can learn more about Katäri's career by reading her professional résumé.

Individually and together, John and Katäri have been fascinated with forms of entertainment that involve education and human growth. They've pooled their expertise to develop entertaining programs and services that will challenge, enlighten and stimulate – while aiming to heal and help others.

From 1983 through 1999, thousands of visitors to Michigan's Victorian Villa Inn and Turtle Lake Resort experienced MysteryVisits' programs -- and returned again and again! Over 20 years, MysteryVisits also has developed literature and private corporate programs for such global institutions as the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Kellogg Co.'s Cereal City USA and Post Division of Kraft General Foods.

If you've ever read the works of Plato – golly, who hasn't? – you know that Socrates (even though he was a genius) could just go on and on and on. We sure hope his students weren't bored! John and Katäri know that, in the modern world, people don't learn effectively unless they are entertained effectively. That's why MysteryVisits' programs are structured to fascinate while they educate.
