More about Grand Manan...
This picture and the one below are from when we camped at Hole-in-the-Wall Park.  It was the best tenting and the best campsite we've ever had!  We had a large, private cliffside site.  We could hear whales in the water (blowholes) and we had 3 seals in front of us fishing by the weir.  Also saw whales far out in the water and many porpoises.
There is lots of fishing equipment...
There are spectacular cliffs at the south of the island.  Also, towards the south of the island is a beautiful sandy beach.

Swallowtail Lighthouse at sunset.  Entrance is free and the view of the water is amazing.
The inland areas are beautiful as well.  This is behind that sandy beach pictured above.  The birds and wildflowers are numerous and lovely.  People's gardens are breathtaking, and we saw a pair of falcons, and a pair of large hawks at close range in this area.
