Singer - Musician - Songwriter - Film Maker - Theater Actor
During grade school, my older brother and I were sent to the YAMAHA music school to study the organ. We had 2 pianos at home, which helped us in our piano lessons. My dad was working with Weinstein Pianos back then. With this home setup, my ears became musically trained. Later, I thought of having my voice as my second musical instrument. Ramon Acoymo became my first voice mentor during college. Soon after I trained under several outstanding and generous voice coaches, Enchang Nepomuceno, Prof. Tom Cabantac, and Mark Anthony Carpio.
Cartoonist - Sketch Artist
I have been trained under the tutelage of the late Prof. Tomas Tangal Bernardo, National Artist, who happens to be my grandfather. We started sketching beautiful faces in charcoal when I was in 4th grade, until I learned to appreciate the beauty of the human body and started drawing naked human bodies. I was also fond of reading MAD Magazine and making people laugh, which probably lead me to cartoon drawing. Since then, I started creating my own cartoon strips...until now!
Writer and Poet
Love, puppy love, inspired me to write my first poems back in high school, just like any teenager. When I became an adult, love still drove me to play with my pen and paper but I soon realized other pressing concerns and social realities. From then on, I wrote poems, stories, and music lyrics not only about love, but also about food, health, traffic, and the world where I belong to. In expressing my deep thoughts in words about this fascinating world, Guniguni: The Absent Muse became my avenue. Guniguni was one of the literary organizations I helped build.
Kung Fu - Karate - Jeet Kune Do
I had my early schooling in the Philippine Academy of Sakya, a Buddhist-Chinese school in Manila, where I started to learn Kung-fu from my pure-blooded chinese classmates. In highschool, I joined the International Association of Martial Arts Institute where I had my Brown Belt in Karate. Early college, I joined the Shotokan Martial Arts where I became 1st Dan Black Belt. At present, I am reviving my Kung-fu and Tai Chi skills and joined Jeet-Kune-Do Martial Arts group under the tutelage of Kenneth Pua.
I never imagine myself becoming an inspirational speaker until I was asked to speak in public about my career and experiences.

Even though my mind, body and schedule may look fully-booked, I still find time day dreaming and philosophical musings.
Raised from a buddhist school, with a roman catholic mother and an Iglesia Ni Cristo father, I became a Born-Again Christian during my senior High School and attended the Bible School. After college, I embraced the teachings of Islam and became a muslim for roughly 2 years. I joined a cult and wiccan back in the late '90s for about 2 years. I attended several occassions in Mormons Church and the rest is freakin' mind-boggling soul-twisting history!
From a garden of religious tenets, i picked up some of the most rational and effective principles to live with.
85% of my experience with socializing seems to correlate with the personalities described by the stars.
