Jeffrey Bernardo Copiaco

During grade school, my older brother and I were sent to the YAMAHA music school to study the organ. We had 2 pianos at home, which helped us in our piano lessons. My dad was working with Weinstein Pianos back then. With this home setup, my ears became musically trained. Later, I thought of having my voice as my second musical instrument. Ramon Acoymo became my first voice mentor during college. Soon after I trained under several outstanding and generous voice coaches, Enchang Nepomuceno, Prof. Tom Cabantac, and Mark Anthony Carpio.

When I was in college, I also realized that acting was cool and started having acting lessons. I portrayed various stage play roles until I was able to establish several theater organizations, such as the Vine of Young Artists Development (Vineyard) in Miriam College,... Aside from making music, singing, and acting, I became fascinated too with filmmaking. It started with just recording barkada and class breaktime activities using Video 8, my very first video camera, which I receieved when I was in gradeschool. Back then, I learned how to video edit the hard way, you know, cutting and pasting films... literally. Now, I have my dslr camera and video editing softwares that helped me create interesting short films and entertaining music videos. I also became one of the founders of a filmmaking group named Malayang Sining-Kayumanggi, Inc.
