| The day after arriving in Damascus we took a day-trip to the nearby Christian villages of Ma'alula and Seidnaya. The next day we headed to Palmyra where we spent a night. From Palmyra we travelled to Aleppo via Homs. After two nights in Aleppo and a visit to Qala'at Samaan (Simeon's Basilica), we returned to Damascus with stops at Apamea, Hama, and Homs. A couple of days later we took a day-trip to Krak des Chevaliers, again via Homs. | |||||||||||||||
