For over 10 years, I have gained valuable experience working in the finance field. I have acquired numerous skills including industry leading customer service and team management as I oversaw a department of 15 employees working at Professional Closing Network. While I have gained many skills in the finance field, my love for design and my need for a creative outlet with design has pushed me to pursue a career that I can truly utilize my skills in the best possible way for achieving my future employers’ goals. With the decision to focus on my design career, I have recently finished up my tenure at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). I have successfully achieved my goal of acquiring a BA in Graphic Design/Media Arts with a focus on web & layout design. For my graduation, I have attained my degree with a GPA of 3.9, as well as being on the SNHU Presidents List, an honor I am quite proud of.
I have been working in all areas of design for over 15 years, using my creative talents for both personal and education purposes. I began as a web designer, teaching myself HTML and UX design, creating websites for clients; such as local musicians looking for exposure and for personal use. For several years, I ran a successful website with my friends that hosted comedy skit videos that brought in viewers from around the world. In 2003 I earned an associate’s degree in Multimedia Technologies from the Pittsburgh Technical College that expanded my range of design portfolio and skills to include graphic design, web design, video editing and animation including 3D rendering. During the two and a half years at SNHU, I focused on my education on my passion of user experience and web design, further strengthening those skills in order to pursue a career in an industry I have loved since I was 16.
