Deb and her mom came to Red Deer today so we visited for the afternoon. We did lots of shopping, I definitely got my exercise in for the day. We went to virtually every baby department in the whole city, just looking around at all the neat things. It's really funny how nothing has just one use anymore; the strollers also have carseats, there was a highchair which also turned into a swing, etc. We saw a set of twins today too, so maybe that was a sign??? hahaha, I really do think it's just one baby.
Deb was telling me that the baby at this stage is supposed to be the size of a peppercorn. But then my belly has already popped out and I'm in maternity pants so she looked at me and said "it looks like there is a lot of peppercorns in there!" I agree, I have no idea how it popped out so much already when the baby is just so tiny!!
I made an appt with Dr L today. I was surprised that they didn't want to see me until about 12 weeks! So my first appt isn't until July 3rd. I am considering going to a doctor where Deb lives because she really likes him and he seems really nice. We'll see. I was also talking with a friend of mine who recently had a baby and she really liked her doctor (Dr B) so I'm considering going with him as well.
All my pregnancy symptoms (the very few that I had) seem to have disappeared. I'm not so tired anymore, no cravings, and I think my moodiness is under control (have to double check with Jason on that one!!). So, so far this is an extremely easy pregnancy.

Still can't believe how good I feel. Every now and then I do get tired, but other than that I'm great! Well, I have been having some asthma problems as well, but that's not at all pregnancy related, it was triggered by my cold from a few days ago.
Deb and I decided it was best if I see her doctor (Dr D) to see if we can get an ultrasound earlier. It is pretty much impossible to get one around here for any reason other than an emergency and I'd really like to make sure just how many babes are in there! I'm so confused with this pregnancy, usually I'd have a gender guess by now, but I have no clue. It is sooooo similar to my twin pregnancy, yet I always thought it was just one baby. So who knows, hopefully on Friday (June 7), which is when I see Dr D, he will schedule me for an ultrasound so we can know for sure.
Oh one more thing that's happening with me is that I'm terribly thirsty all the time. I'm constantly refilling my glass with water (the only thing I want to drink) and my mouth is always dry! It's good to drink so much water though, so I'm not complaining. Just spend most of my day in the bathroom which is a little annoying!
Belly is getting bigger everyday!

I had a stranger notice I was pregnant yesterday! Wow, not even 2 months pregnant and already showing, that's crazy. Hopefully Dr D will send me for an ultrasound so we can find out if there's more than one, or just one really big baby in there!
Still having asthma troubles. I think I need to go to the doctor for that too, I'm doing everything I'm supposed to and still it's not getting an better.
Still so thirsty all the time. I drink so much water I'm afraid I may drown.

I have an ultrasound tomorrow!!! I went to the doc for asthma yesterday and managed to convince him to give me an ultrasound!!! Woohoo, I'll finally know for sure exactly what we've got growing in there. It's tomorrow at 11:15am and then I'm going out for lunch with Deb and maybe Henry too. Deb will come in for my ultrasound, but Henry said "He'll take our word for it" lol.
Yesterday I had another stranger ask me about the pregnancy. She asked if I knew if it was a boy or a girl. I told her "no" and she said "Oh, you don't want to find out" and then told me all about her daughter who is having a boy. A little funny, because I really do want to find out, but of course only being 7 1/2 weeks, that's pretty much impossible. I'll have to take a picture soon of my tummy so you can see what I'm talking about.
I haven't been tired during the day anymore, but in the evenings I am. I usually go to bed by 10 or 10:30. Foods I have been eating lots of are olives and tomatoes. I really have never liked olives (the green ones) but this baby is crazy for them.

Back from my ultrasound. Everything went really well. Deb was there to see so that was nice. It turns out we do just have the one little peanut in there, so I guess my first instinct was right. Now I just wonder why I can't figure out if it's a boy or girl, wants to keep me on my toes I guess. The baby was measuring a little small, but we all know how inaccurate ultrasound measurments can be, so it's no big deal. The baby has a good heartbeat that we got to see. So It was a nice day. Afterwards Deb and I went out for lunch, and I plan on going to their house this weekend. Everything is going well with the pregnancy and I'm very happy about that. The ultrasound picture is below. The baby is so tiny it's hard to make out, but the black circle is the sac and the gray blob on the bottom of the sac is the baby.
