I've made it to 37 weeks! I am sooooooo ready for Jaxon to come out now. The last month is always the hardest. 3 more weeks certainly won't kill me, but I'm hoping he'll make his appearance before then!
I spent my night hugging the toilet again last night. Not sure exactly what's wrong with me. I'm pretty sure the first time was the flu, since my 4 year old son had the same thing, but it struck me as odd that I was so sick again last night (4 days after the first time). So either it's morning sickness that decided to make it's appearance at the very end, or the flu decided to kick my butt again. I'm feeling fine today, although I don't have an appetite. Maybe I just won't gain so much weight this time??? That would be a bonus.
My next appt with Dr L is on Jan 2. Not sure if she'll book me for an u/s at that time or check to see if I'm dilated anymore or not.
All in all, this pregnancy has been so good. Everything has gone so well, no complications, no hard times and now I'd really enjoy seeing his parents hold him and for me to get a good night's sleep!

I know it's going to take me a long time to get used to typing "2003", I always have troubles after the New Year!
I had my appt with Dr L today. I was convinced I wouldn't have gained much weight because I've been sick this week, but of course I still managed to gain 2lbs, grrrrrr.---so I guess that brings the total up to 16lbs. My blood pressure is fine and I'm still measuring big, but she doesn't seem concerned enough about it to send me for an ultrasound. I've delivered babies that were on the larger side before so maybe she figures I can deliver the baby no matter how big he is-----eeeeek!
But while she was listening to his heartrate, it went up to about 180bpm for a while. It did go back down after a little while, but she wanted to be safe so she sent me for an NST at the hospital. So I went there and was hooked up to the monitor for 1/2 an hour or so. His resting heartrate is about 160bpm and everytime he moves (which is half the time!) it jumps up to around 180bpm. I've never seen a baby's heartrate go up that high before, I think the highest I ever saw was 170 from the twins, but this guy even made it up to 190!!! He certainly is an active young man. But they said it's all normal so they sent me home.
The room I had my NST done in was the same room I delivered my daughter in. I told my husband that afterwards and he said "well, pretty soon you will have delivered in every room on the whole ward" Hahaha, he thinks he's funny.
I did lots of walking around today, in a way I'm trying to do things to get my body ready for delivery. But then the other side of me knows he'll come out around his due date and nothing I do will make him come faster so I try not to think of it too much (if you haven't noticed by how often I talk about it, it doesn't work that well!). But seriously, I'm going to just try and relax from now on, not be so crazy about every little twinge I have and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy. I don't have much time left to go even if he decides to come a little late, so I might as well just have fun with it.

I thought for sure I was going to go into labor last night. I started spotting early in the evening and felt a little crampy. I was so excited!!! I told my husband that I might have to call him home from work that night and wrote Deb to give her a heads up on what was going on. I figured spotting wasn't necesarrily meaning that I would start labor right away, but at least not 2 weeks away or anything. But nothing happened. The spotting has stopped today and I feel fine. Grrrrr. We all had our hopes up that we were going to meet this little man soon. Oh well, only 2 weeks left till my due date anyway!
My next Dr appt is on the 8th, so hopefully I'll have something exciting to report after that.

I had my prenatal check-up today. Jaxon's heartrate is fine, he's measuring big as usual and I've lost 2.5lbs so that brings my total weight gain down to 13 1/2lbs. Not sure how during the week I was vomitting all the time I managed to gain 2 lbs but this week when I"ve been eating regularly I lost!
My blood pressure did go up this time though. It was 150/95 and Dr L is concerned about that. She has booked me for an NST tomorrow at the hospital and they will recheck my blood pressure then and she made it seem like if it were still elevated we'd induce labor!!! She checked my cervix to see if I'd be ready if she wanted to induce and I am 2cm dilated but still quite thick. She said that's ok though.
So now we wait. I'm not sure really what to expect. I don't want to get my hopes up thinking that I may deliver this little one tomorrow, but then it's hard not to get excited when there is that possibility.
I will take a belly picture tonight just in case it is my last chance! And I'll also be packing my bag just in case I need it tomorrow.
I have to go back to the couch now. Dr L says I need to be resting lots to keep my BP down and I"m even feeling a little dizzy when I do walk around so I guess I should follow her orders!
