38 Weeks

I thought I should post an update because last time I wrote we were thinking I could possibly have the baby by now. Well, no such luck! I went to the hospital on Thursday to be checked out. Jaxon is doing very well and his heartrats is still normally around 160bpm. My blood pressure was about the same, 147/94, but it wasn't high enough to induce me I guess. I've been very dizzy lately and having headaches, but still no luck on getting him out. I don't quite understand why they would have a problem inducing a full term woman (anything after 37 weeks is full term) who is carrying what they've said to be a large baby all along who is also having problems with blood pressure, dizziness, and headaches. But she put me on full bedrest from now on. Only 1 1/2 weeks left to go so I really can't complain too much.

I do want to talk a little about how wonderful my husband is. He has been so great the last few days. He has taken over all the household stuff, plus doing things for me and keeping the kids happy and busy. He's such a huge support to me and I don't know what I'd do without him. He's going out of his way to make sure I'm comfortable and I can rest as much as possible and he does it all without one complaint. I feel like I hit the jackpot when I met him :-)

I am scheduled for another NST on Monday so we'll see if anything happens there. I think the only thing that will make them induce is if my BP goes up again a lot. Otherwise they will just monitor me every few days for the rest of the pregnancy. Although, I have noticed that Jason's guess for the delivery date was Jan 13 and he was correct with the twins so maybe that's something to be hopeful about :-)

I had a fantastic nurse for my NST on Thursday. She thought it was really neat what I was doing and she asked all about how it all works and she was just so positive about it. Makes me feel good and less nervous about deliveriing again. Hopefully it will be just like last time with Michael and Michelle and most of the nurses will fantastic.

My bag is packed and ready to go! Just need to wait for Jaxon now!

I"m 38 weeks 4 days pregnant

Had my latest NST today. My blood pressure is down a little, I can't even remember right now what it was, but I think it was around 148/90. So no induction today. She did schedule me for next Monday though, which also happens to be my birthday. So if L&D isn't too busy next week I will have the baby then (hopefully before, but not counting on that).

I'm feeling quite emotional right now. I think it's a mixture of not sleeping well, the dizziness, and the hormones. I'm just glad I don't have much longer to go, my poor family only has to put up with one more week of moodiness! I had a very nice nurse again today so I'm wishing the trend continues and we get a good one for the delivery as well.

My next appt is with Dr L on Wednesday and that will probably be the last one until I deliver (unless she sends me for one last NST before the 20th).

This could very well be my last update as a pregnant lady in this journal!!! How exciting! Yesterday at my appt Dr L bumped my induction up to the 17th, so tomorrow Deb and Henry get to meet their son!

I don't have many specifics from the appt yesterday. I forgot to ask any questions at all! So I know that my weight is the same as it was last week so I'm still at a total of 13.5lbs gained. I think my BP went up a little but forgot to ask what the reading was, I know I was measuring large again but not sure of the measurment, and she said my cervix is totally ready, but again I didn't think to ask what it was at! Hahaha, I seriously don't know where my brain was yesterday.

So today I'm preparing for tomorrow. We are getting a few things done around the house and I have to teach Jason how to use the video camera. I can't believe that when I wake up tomorrow I'll be going to the hospital to have the baby! Of course, if they are too busy tomorrow they will schedule me for another day, so we're keeping our fingers crossed!!!
