30 Weeks
October 30, 2001 Not much going on pregnancy-wise here. Everyone is still moving a lot, growing bigger, etc. My next OB appt is November 1st and next ultrasound is on the 8th. Sometimes I think I should just pack a bag and move into the doctor's office!! It's okay though because soon it will all be over and I'm sure I'll miss everything about the pregnancy. I'm also busy trying to get everything I want to do done before the babies are here. I wanted to make a scrapbook of me and my family and this pregnancy for the babies, and a few other little things. Just the other day I wrote a letter to them that I will put in the scrapbook. One thing I want to say is how lucky I feel to be carrying twins for my IPs. I'm so glad they will have a family of their own and that these twins will also have each other. One boy and one girl---who could ask for anything more? It definitely is hard on my body at times, but it's worth every second. I'm 30 weeks 4 days pregnant October 31, 2001 The kids went out trick-or-treating so I have the house all to myself. It's very strange to have the house so quiet. I was just sitting here thinking of how big the babies are getting now. At this stage they gain about 1/2 a pound per week, so since my u/s last week said they were each about 3 1/2lbs, they are probably almost 4lbs each now!! Yikes, that is like 8 pounds of baby that I'm carrying around. And then I figured out if I carry them to 38 weeks they will be about 7 1/2 pounds each (15 pounds total!!!). I'm sure I'll manage, as I'm definitely not the first woman ever to carry twins, that just seems so unreal to me that I could get that big! I'm 30 weeks 5 days pregnant (where does the time go??) November 1, 2001 Everything went relatively well at my appt today. The babies' heartbeats are good, I'm measuring 42cm (which is exactly what I measured when I was 1 1/2 weeks over due with Tayler ready to deliver), and I gained 2 pounds. My blood pressure was a little high (114/97) so I am supposed to take my blood pressure 3 times a week for the rest of the pregnancy. I am also now going to be at the doctor's every week now until the end of the pregnancy (one week at an ultrasound and the next for a check-up) I also had to get my RhoGAM shot today (which I guess is now called WinRho). That was quite an ordeal. I had to go to the hospital to get it done, but I didn't know that before hand so I didn't bring any money with me for parking. That meant parking quite far away from the hospital and walking. The nurse from my OB's office said I should take my papers down to blood services which is down stairs in the far corner of the hospital. I waddled my way down there only to be told I had to go to outpatients first to get a form so they could give me the WinRho. So I waddled back up to outpatients where I was told that I didn't need to be there, but needed to go to admitting to get the forms. So I went to admitting where I had to wait for about 20 minutes just to get to the window to get my forms. Then I had to make my way down to blood services again and then back up to outpatients so a nurse could give me my shot. Of course walking around the hospital for a while normally wouldn't be a big deal, but when you are the size of a pick-up truck it's a little hard!!! So anyway, that's all taken care of now. Hopefully both babies will also be RH negative so I don't need another shot (they give it in the hip so it's a little unpleasant). I'm 30 weeks 6 days pregnant November 4, 2001 I got some pictures developed today. I'll post the one that was taken today here and if you'd like to see the rest, just click here I'm 31 weeks 2 days pregnant

November 8, 2001 I had another ultrasound today. Michael's heartbeat was 148 and he has stayed head down. He's measuring a little ahead of schedule which I'm told is excellent for twins at this stage for twins. He now weighs approximately 4lbs 4oz. Michelle's heartbeat was 154 bpm and she decided to flip again. She's breech for now, but I feel her flip around about once a week so I"m sure that will change again before the birth. She is measuring right on schedule and now weighs approximately 4lbs. So I now have 8lbs 4oz of baby in my tummy and I still have 4-6 weeks (or more) left to go----eeeek! I'm still feeling very good. I'm very lucky to be feeling so good at this point and I never forget that. I'm 31 weeks 6 days pregnant
