Not too much to report on the pregnancy. I think I may be able to feel a few little flutters from the babies, but everything I've read says it's too early so maybe I'm imagining things. Over the next couple of weeks it should get more definite so I will know it's them for sure.
According to my newsletter the babies will get to be 8-9cm long this week and they are each about the size of my fist. They are getting pretty big!!

Well, all I can say is it is a very good thing I live by the lake. My goodness, it has been SOOOOO hot around here and I'm dying! Last night Jason and I went to the lake to go for a swim. It felt so good--since the lake is freezing cold it really cooled me down. I think I will make this a part of my regular routine this summer.

Gee, it's hard to get an appointment with Dr L. I was supposed to go in near the end of the month for my next prenatal, and so I phoned today and the very earliest I could get in was July 31st, but Jason is working that day. So I had to make it for August 2nd. I will be 18 weeks by then which probably means I won't get my next ultrasound until 22 weeks because it takes about a month to get an appt for an ultrasound (unless it's an emergency). I'm supposed to get it between 18 and 20 weeks. Oh well, I guess I know now to make my appts 3-4 weeks before I need to get in!

I definitely think I'm feeling movements now. They are just little flutters, like butterflies in my tummy. At first I wasn't sure if it was them moving or not, but now I'm sure. It will definitely be weird to have 2 moving in there. A friend of mine described it as having aliens in her tummy because there are 4 arms and 4 legs moving around all the time.

Today I sat down with my calendar to see exactly when we should expect these babies to come. I guess the average twins are born at 36 weeks and that would be on December 7, 2001. And almost all twins are born before 38 weeks (usually by then you will be induced if you haven't gone into labor on your own) and that would be December 21, 2001. So they could come earlier than the 7th, or a few days later than the 21st, but that's a general guideline. Wow, I can't believe how fast this is all happening! To me, these 15 weeks have just flown by and I'm sure the rest will too.
