| June 25, 2001 I got back from my weekend away last night. It was so much fun. Jason is the new heavy weight provincial champion. He's pretty happy about that. The guys that he had to go against were between 270 and 290lbs and Jason looked so tiny next to them (he's *only* 258lbs) so that made it even better to come out the winner. It's really weird for me to be only 3 months pregnant and already having people ask me when I'm due. Usually women don't even start showing for another little while and I already look 5-6 months pregnant. The fun stuff is already starting to happen too. This weekend I had backaches because I couldn't lay down enough. I have trouble getting comfortable at night, and if I lay in one position too long my tummy gets soooo sore. Nothing is really that bad yet, and I certainly don't want to seem like I'm complaining, but I just wanted to say that this is really different than a singleton pregnancy. I'm 12 weeks 3 days pregnant June 27, 2001 I'm getting very anxious for my book to get here! It's so hard any info on twin pregnancies on the internet, so I'm really looking forward to having a really good book with lots of good info. Everything seems to be going by pretty quickly. I'm almost 3 months now, and it only feels like I should be a couple of weeks. On Friday I will be officially in my second trimester already!! I'm looking forward to all the good stuff like my next ultrasound, feeling the babies move, hearing the heartbeats. My ultrasound is, of course, on July 3rd and then I have an appt with Dr L on the 5th (will be able to hear heartbeats then). So the only thing I have to wait for a while for is the movement. I'm 12 weeks 5 days pregnant June 29, 2001 Woohooo, I made it to the second trimester!!! 1/3 of the way there! I'm 13 weeks pregnant July 2, 2001 I had a very busy weekend. Jason's mom and grandma put together a reunion. It was for family and friends. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. I got a little too much sun though and I'm now as red as a lobster Owwweeeeeee. Jason is a lot worse and he is even getting blisters. We did wear sunscreen (spf 30) but it didn't help very much. I"m just glad the kids didn't get burned. Tomorrow is my ultrasound. I can't wait!! It's still a little unbelievable to me that people are asking me when I'm due (which usually doesn't happen until 5-6 months) and I'm only 3 months. It's cool now, but how big will I be later??? I'll post pictures as soon as I get home tomorrow. I'm 13 weeks 3 days. July 3, 2001 I had the ultrasound today. Everything is great. They measured a little bigger than the average singleton baby for their age! Baby A gave us a big wave and Baby B did a big flip. It's too early to find out the sexes, but I think Baby A looks like a girl and Baby B looks like a boy. We'll see at the next ultrasound I guess. I'm 13 weeks 4 days pregnant. July 5, 2001 I had second prenatal appt today. My blood pressure is very good, I've gained 2 pounds since my last vist 5 weeks ago, and we got to hear the heartbeats. The heartbeats were 160bpm and 154bpm. That's about what both my kids heartbeats were at this time. I am now measuring 21 cm, which is what a woman pregnant with just one would measure at about 21 weeks, and I'm 13w6d. I'm supposed to go back at the end of July for my next appt so we can schedule my next ultrasound. I'm 13 weeks 6 days pregnant. |
