| Welcome to my motorcycle section. I've been into cycles since middle school. First it was Harleys, but then I got into sportbikes. But, I was never serious about buying one until the past couple years. And finally, this year I saw just the right beginner's bike in the local Deals on Wheels. I'd been looking to get an EX500, but those are quite popular and hard to find in good condition. What I did find was a 1981 Honda CB650. It was in great shape for being twenty years old, it looked totally retro cool, and it (was) mine. I've been riding since May '01 (the CB was my very first bike ever) and I'm still having a blast. Motorcycling is everything I thought it would be and more. Shortly after my CB, my bro bought a '92 Kawasaki EX500 (if I'd only waited a week!) from the same dealer. I took it for a spin and it hauls compared to the CB! However, I think I can beat him now that I traded in the CB for my Ducs. |
