Unguided In Alaska
This is my hunting partner Steve Osminski he is an engineer as well and has done more outdoor reading than anyone I know.  He is like an encycolpedia of outdoor information and opinion.  It was because of Steve that I went on this hunt at all.  When we were working together almost two years ago he came up with this idea and I was very interested and so the adventure began.  After we both changed jobs, had children, built houses and sold them and moved we were finally at the day to leave for our trip.  As you can see it takes a lot of planning to make one of these trips successful.  It is very important to choose your partner well as you will have to spend much time together and beable to get along.  In the bush 3105 miles from home is no time to decide you can't stand the other person.  You must have a partner that will share in camp duties and costs.  That will help you hunt and just let you guide for them.  They must be willing to carry your load as well as their own.  A good partner is very important in this type of hunt.  Ultimately, your partner may have to save your life or vise versa and you both need to be prepared for such an occasion.
