Flea markets are a great way to meet people and travel, but as far as being a money maker, my advice would be to try something else unless you have a very unique and popular item to sell.
Most flea markets have many venders selling the same products. It used to be that flea markets were great places for finding antiques and collectables. Now you find mostly new items that people buy in bulk from wholesalers for the purpose of selling at flea markets.
If you're good at talking to people and would enjoy something like this, by all means give it a try. Just know that to set up at a flea market, it cost to drive to them, it cost to rent your space and it cost to eat while you're there. You need to sell enough to pay your expenses plus make a reasonable profit.
