| Shawn Kelley has been extremely busy the past few years, touring and recording with some of the most respected names in music. Shawn's love and command of all kinds of music has put him highly in demand by a diverse range of artists. Whether he's playing Fusion Jazz as he did on tours with Jeff Lorder, Eric Marienthal, and Face First, cookin' swing with Eldee Young and Jeremy Monteiro, funky R&B with Phil Perry, Modern Jazz with Terumasa Hino and Eugene Pao, or backing Jazz vocalists with unique elements such as Indonesian super-group Elfa's Singers, Harvey Malaihollo, Malaysian artists Sheila Majid, Siti Nurhaliza, Paul Ponnudorai, or Singaporean Anita Sarawak, Shawn provides the groove and foundation that lets the music soar. You might have been one of the eight million people who saw Shawn on TV playing for the annual AIM (Malaysian Music Awards) shows or maybe you saw him on MTV with Indonesian Jazz vocalist, Andien (Yes, Jazz on MTV!). Shawn makes Singapore his home base, and you can catch him performing at various clubs and concerts when he's in town, which unfortunately is not that often. 2001 has seen him gigging in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and the Singapore International Jazz Festival. |
