| Two for Brazil a unique combination, the duo of Greg Fishman (saxophone & flute) and Paulinho Garcia (guitar & vocals) is a union of 2 highly regarded musical individuals. Greg was born in Chicago, graduated from De Paul University and received his Masters Degree in Jazz at Northwestern University. He is an expert on Stan Getz and is the author of four Getz transcription books for Hal Leonard Publishing. Greg has performed in great ensembles such as the Woody Herman Band and was recently featured at the North Sea Jazz Festival. Born in Brazil, Paulinho was already an award winning composer, arranger and guitarist before moving to the U.S. in 1979. Based in Chicago, he recorded 2 albums with the band "Made in Brazil" and his CD with his band "Jazzminiero" received excellent reviews. Now together, Two for Brazil's self-titled CD is popular on the jazz radio stations, receiving accolades from critics and listeners alike. |
