The Singapore International Jazz Festival combined the more formal atmosphere of the concert hall juxtaposed with the carnival ambience of three free stages at the festival village. Fringe activities at the airport and local jazz clubs, strolling buskers and a wide selection of food and drinks added to the festivities.
The three-day festival saw performances by the Woody Herman Orchestra, Thomson Big Band, Lee Ritenour, Tuck & Patti, Vanessa Rubin, Terumasa Hino, Take 6, James Moody and the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni.
