정치 경제학 과목 소개

제가 이번 학기 수강하는 과목을 소개하고 자 합니다. 정식 과목 명칭은 Foundations of Political Economy: Philosophy, Psychoanalysis and the Economics of Marx and Keynes입니다. 강의자는 캐나다 York University의 Ted Winslow이다.

칼 맑스와 케인즈 두 경제학이 기반하고 있는 철학적, 심리학적 방법론에 집중하여 강의가 진행됩니다.

정치경제학은 현대 주류 경제학과 대별되는 다른 다양한 접근 방법을 모두 통틀어 일컫고 있는 명칭이기 때문에, 정치경제학을 특정하게 규정하기는 쉽지 않습니다. Ted Winslow교수의 강의는 정치경제학과 주류 근대 경제학을 구별하는 중요한 차이가, 존재론의 입장 차이에 있다고 보고 있습니다. 즉, 맑스 경제학으로 대표되는 정치경제학은 Internal Relation(혹은 Organicism)이라는 존재론에 , 반대로 근대 주류 경제학은 External Relation(혹은 Atomism)이라는 존재론에 기반하고 있다고 보는 견해입니다.

  • 학점은 A를 받았습니다. 저 한테는 아주 좋은 결과네요. 에세이에서 부족한 부분도 지적받을 수 있었습니다. 나중에 지적받은 부분도 올리겠습니다.
