This is a very good write up on Muar in a Malaysian magazine "Wanita" (written in Bahasa Malaysia language), however there are some mistakes in the explanation, the photo in the first page is the new Masjid Jamek constructed in Year 1999. The photo in the second page is actually the old Masjid Jamek constructed in early 1900. It was not Parameswara who build the Istana Buruk, instead it was his descendent, Sultan Mahmud Shah when he was on the run from the Portuguese attack in 1511. Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 4.
