2008 Most Valuable Player
1. Anthony - You can't say much here as the numbers speak for themselves. Anthony took home the batting title with an .875 average on the year, which was the highest in Jayz history. Early rumors expect Anthony to win Coach of the year for the league. He helped move the last place Jays into 3rd place and increased their 3 wins to 14 in a matter of a year.

2. Ben - Last years batting title champ seen plenty of competition this year. Ben came through in the playoffs leading the Jayz in Hits, Runs, RBI's, HR's and Average. Ben is one of the most accurate pitchers in ball today and was called upon many times this year to help close out some tight games.

3. Chris - Last years reigning MVP had an even better year in 2008. Chris had an increase in every stat category compared to 2007. If you want an extra base hit then Chris is your man. He finished the season with an astounding 1.761 slugging percentage meaning he averages almost a double every single time he steps up to the plate. Chris led the Jayz this year in Hits, 3B, Runs, RBI's and Slugging.

2008 Most Improved Player
1. Anthony - Well numbers never lie but in Anthonys case you must wonder how good the statisticians math really is or how he even managed to pass the drug testing. Anthony went from a .636 average in 2007 to a team leading .875 in 2008. In 80 at bats, teams only managed to get him out 10 times. What did he do in the offseason?

2. George - Considered one of the best lead of hitters in the league this year George had great success at the plate. George boosted his disappointing .519 batting average in 2007 to a .660 for 2008. The Jayz always counted on George to start things off and help put up 5 runs to start a game. Off season training with Albert Marche seen many improvements in the field for George as well.

3. Leanne - It wasn't just the Jayz that noticed Leannes outstanding play this year as she was picked up by the Twins for tournament play. Leanne increased her average from .367 to .398 as she flirted with .400 for most the season. Although Leanne is remembered best by her 2 homeruns this year it was her defense that opposing teams feared. With the Leanne/C-Mac or as i call it "LeMac" combo, teams struggled all year for hits. They combined for 5 double plays on the year.

2008 Rookie of the Year
1. Lyndsey - If you are looking for answers on how the Jayz became so good then look no further. Lyndseys pitching was nothing less than perfect this year, she threw strikes and the defense did the rest. With her quick glove on the mound you must wonder if she was watching some Ben Kean scouting videos. Lydnsey also led all females in average and RBI's for the year.

2. Matt - The Jayz scouting started early and manage to sign Matt to a 2 year contract hoping his power would throw up some runs on the board. Matt did not disappoint leading the Jayz with 11 homeruns, the most in Jayz history. Many wonder if Leanne didnt break his bat how many dingers he would have finished with.

3. Steve - A late season tryout in 2007 earned Steve a spot on the 2008 Jayz. With an already solid batting lineup Steve finished out the Jayz impressive lineup. When your bottom hitter has an average of .620, 33 RBI's and 19 extra base hits you cant complain. Steve is best known for his famous barehanded grabs in centerfield.

2008 Gold Glove
1. Chris - If Chris doesn't go home with a dirty jersey then he didnt do his job. Chris can always be counted on for solid D at short and he certainly isnt scared to risk his body for an out.

2. Leanne - It was a fantastic season for Leanne at 2B. Knocking balls down, turning double plays and diving attempts was nothing Leanne couldnt handle. Leanne had an oustanding defensive showing in the playoffs with at least 10 outs and no errors. Many scouts compare the Leanne/C-Mac connection to Batman and Robin.

3. Tony - Although tony didn't play as many games as he would have liked to he could always be counted on in the outfield. Limited errors in the field is the key to winning games and its hard to recall any mistakes Tony made. He is best remembered for unofficially recording 22 outs during a weekend series against the Twins.
