Waved "Bye-Bye": April 27, 2003. His babysitter Anna always tells him to say, "bye to mommy" before I leave for work. Well after making this little baby smirk and rolling his eyes, he did it!!! He's done it every morning since then:):):)

First Understanding: After playing "name your face" (self explanatory) for weeks, Jayden now understands! I was talking on the phone May 22 (last night, and he was all mad because I wasn't paying attention to him, so he was jumping around and goofing off, and then he pointed to his nose, and then mine, and said "no". AHHHHHHHH!!!! I am so proud of him. He is going to Harvard man :D

First Words: Jayden has been saying "no" for the past few weeks.

Personality: Stubborn, temper, serious, independant, & sometimes silly:)

First REALSteps: May 22, 2003 (according to Anna, his baby-sitter)

Cruising: 9 months with help. At 12 month, walks around furniture with ease.

First Teeth: He's got 7 now. He is the best teether ever, no fuss!

Sippy Cup: 10 months

Crawling: 8 1/2 months, crawls on his stomach, like he's in the army! Funny :)

Standing: 10 months, by himself no problem.

Food:

Tater Tots & Chicken Nuggets (Hell I like that).
Pasta

Anything I put in my mouth, he must have

Likes:

Playing the "name your face" game. We name each other's nose, ears etc,
playtime on floor with toys and mommy.
to be snuggled and kissed
when I sniff his feet & butt and say "stinky feet", or "stinky dinky"!
to sleep with mommy
his toy blocks (always *&^*ing step in them)
crawling after me
crawling between my feet when I am in the kichen cooking (dangerous)
taking his bath
flirting with women
teasing me by with holding his kiss :(

Dislikes:

waking up and I'm not there
when he wants his dinner NOW and I am busy
when he doesn't get attention, when he wants it
when I wipe his face after a feeding
When I put on his winter jacket and mittens
When I braid or comb his hair (thats why it is cut)
being put back in his stroller after walking him around

General:

Jayden just got his hair cut. I forgot to take the camera, so i don't have any pictures! I know, I am an ass. Anyways, he was very brave and macho about it. It was almost like he was enjoying it until he felt the buzz around the side and back of hishead. Then he whined because he was getting impatient. But in all, he was very good, and I was so proud of him. I wish his daddy was here so he could see too :)
Jayden had his first birthday on April the 5th. We stayed in because it was so cold outside, and I wasn't quite prepared for a birthday party.
Me and Anna (Jayden's babysitter) are now working on Jayden's walking. Whenever we get a chance we hold his arms and walk him. Now he is steady enough that he only needs to hold on with one hand! I see him walking by June.
Jayden is also showing more understanding than some adults have. LOL just kidding. I tell him to "get ba-ba" and he looks for it, and then gets it. Also, he now knows to put his blocks in the box, and is trying to pile them up. Very proud :)
