The Bast@rd
Someone sideswiped my car. Don't know when
it happened, but it has left me with a very sick looking car.
The left hand front wing, door and rear
quarter panel are damaged, and I am very upset.
The door was pushed into the frame
housing, and when I opened up the door to assess the damage, it caught the front
wing flange. distorting the door edge and wing. The door had 2 dents, one which
I managed to push back out. The other I cannot get access to, so a panel beater
will have to work his magic wand.
The paintwork is damaged, but a wee
session with Autoglym polish seems to have improved things slightly, but it
still looks like crap.
A visit to the panel beaters' last week
took place, and the very nice chap (Brian A Leeson
Coachworks-01236 824608) told me what has to be
done. THIS IS GONNA COST ME!!!!!!
"
The door has to be removed, repair and reshape front wing, sill panel, door
assembly, rear quarter panel and 'A' post. Prepare, prime and topcoat
aforementioned."
All in all, not too bad I suppose, but why
did this happen to my Alfa. Why not to some bloody Ford or better still any
Renault. (ps I despise Renault, for many reasons, which I will go into one day.)
RENAULT UK, if you read this.....Don't
bother phoning me 1 year after the event, asking why I wouldn't buy another one.
Your cars, customer service, sales teams, one particular dealer (you know who
you are!) and general regard to your customers stinks.
Anyway, enuff of that stuff, I am awaiting
the insurance inspector to assess the damage, and hopefully I will have a sexy
wee car again, that I can be proud of.
