Wednesday March 17, 2003: Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around much, I have been wiped since starting my new job. I have been bagging out at 10:30 - 11 PM just about every night. Work is doing okay, I guess. I've made a couple of friends so it looks like things will get smoother along the way. I'm just exhausted from being bored today. I had to sub as the receptionist today, since the girl is out until Monday. It was not easy. There are like 19 lines and so many different procedures to transfering to different lines, voicemails, cell phones, paging and intercoms. Can you say nuts?!!! It wasn't always crazy, there were some lulls and thats when time dragged and I was beyond boredom. I don't have an internet hookup at that computer so there wasn't much to do. But so far I think I'll do okay there.
Okay, so today was weigh in day...............4 more pounds gone forever!!!!!! So that now puts me down to 240, which makes a total of 42lbs since surgery and 48lbs gone in total. Go me go me!!!! I am hoping to make a 50lbs loss mark by next Wednesday, which would mark my two month anniversary. I am looking forward to see if I lost any more inches. What's cool is that my feet are no longer swollen so I can where shoes I couldn't fit into anymore and I am almost back into my size 18/20 jeans, which I haven't worn in a year. Can you tell I am happy?
Okay now lets get real. Food is becoming a major issue with me, especially trying to get in my protein. I only got sick once in the past week, so I count that as a good thing. The weird thing is that it's harder for me to eat anything with protein than it is to eat something like a cracker or even a small almond cookie. Now that I am working I am going to order some protein supplements to mix in my drinks to get more of it in me. I already see a lot of hair loss, my hair is everywhere I go!!!!! I am going for a haircut next weekend, just in time for my two month photo shoot....yeah okay. But I am still worried about my eating habits. I can control myself to be good, but it's still so hard to make the best choices when it is so hard to eat what I need to eat. At this point my day consists of drinking 40-50 oz of water, broth with a little noodle (3 oz), or maybe 1-2 oz of chicken salad. I might pick on a couple crackers with cheese or jelly but that is basically it. Tonight I had chicken lo mein (extra chicken hold the veggies). I had a very tiny bit, but it was mostly chicken. I thought I was going to be sick, but it past (thank God) so just for tonight I might just have a small italian ice (fat free of course).
I'll keep you updated and let you know how it goes. Hopefully it will stop snowing!!!!! so I can get back to my walking. Need to move the tush so I can shake it this summer, yeah baby!!!! |
