Really, gene research has never been capable of adequately predicting human behaviour. This garbage science was tossed out decades ago after psychiatrists tried and failed, to make determinations of who would become criminals based on genetic characteristics. Under conditions free of intense political pressure, research attempting to link genes to behaviour in a definitive way, would be quickly dismissed.

After a review of some 135 research studies, researchers concluded that there was no evidence at present to substantiate that biological factors are the primary basis for sexual orientation. (Source: Human Sexual Orientation :The Biological Theories Reappraised, by William Byne and Bruce Parsons, Columbia University, 1993.)

If we honestly seek to determine the origins of a behaviour, rather than come up with excuses for it, we must focus our attention on psychological factors.

Supporters of The Homosexual Lifestyle:

Homosexuals would be quick to point out that in matters of the mind, they have the strongest backing - the American Psychiatric Association reversed its longstanding theories on homosexuality in 1973, and dismissed its previous research to begin a new era of political correctness, declaring that homosexuality was o.k. now.

While the support of APA might be construed as lending legitamcy to the gay and lesbian lifestyle, consider  a couple of other things that APA has come up with:

1. In 1994, this same esteemed organization (APA) revised its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual IV by redefining long-standing definitions of what constitute "paraphilias" or sexual perversions including pedophilia. The diagnosis was changed so that the person's behaviour must, "cause clinically significant distress or impairment of social, occupational or other important areas of function." In July 1998,  APA's bimonthly Psychological Bulletin claimed that: sex between children and adults is not only less harmful than believed but might even be positive for "willing" children.
