We got involved with Akita`s six years ago when we purchased Ruby and Zach as puppies. As we started to understand their body language and their characteristics, we found the Akita to be very good with people with needs as they seem to know and sense what is expected from them without much training. Purchasing Ricky at eleven months gave us that kick start in showing what a proud and courageous breed, a noble king, who has the heart of a teddy bear and the strength of a lion. He will always protect and love his family. The Akita will be a part of our family for ever. We are truly grateful to "Rave" and Co. for giving us Bailey. What a great dog and what a personality, he is such a handsome lad that we can't wait for him to mature. Claude is the showman, the one that stole our hearts from our litter. He was the one that tried to be bossy, showing us when we were wrong and when we were right and his paw would come up as if to say thanks for understanding me. Then we have Angel, the showgirl of the family. Marie bought her as a pet at eight weeks and perfectly marked, she stands in the ring for her, and does not want to know what else is going on. They have bonded so well it's amazing. We have never seen a bitch dedicated to her owner like her, not from two show dogs, but she has got it down to a tee.

We hope in the future to provide the right temperament which is the most important thing in the Akita - to be everybody's friend and not to be feared. Never judge a book by its cover. The Akita will be your most loyal friend if you show them the love they deserve.
