> Timber Wolf and Chemical King join. Colossal Boy rejoins.
> Valor apparantly dies due to lead poisoning but is revived by a distant cousin, Eltro Gand, with the same machine used to revive Lightning Lad.
> Lightning Lad, Light Lass and Timber Wolf end the crime spree of Lightning Lord.
> Timber Wolf is seemingly killed in an explosion.
> ERG-1 is rejected for membership but tags along on a Legion mission and seemingly sacrifices himself to save the Legionnaires.
> Mordru attempts to enslave Zerox, the Sorcerors World, but is severely weakened by the Legionnaires and the sorcerors. He flees to Earth and is once more captured.
> A brain-washed Timber Wolf returns and tries to kill the Earth president at the command of Tyr. He is freed from the brain-washing and captures Tyr as the villain invades Legion headquarters.
> Bouncing Boy and Duo Damsel resign from the team to get married as the Legion Constitution does not allow married Legionnaires.
> Erg-1 reconstitues his energy form and joins the team as Wildfire.
> Invisible Kid is killed by Validus.
> Matter Eater Lad resigns to become a politician on his homeworld of Bismoll.
> Karate Kid travels to the 20th century as a test given by Princess Projectra's father in order to earn the right to marry his daughter.
> Tyroc joins.
> Dawnstar joins.
> Chemical King dies while preventing the Dark Circle from starting World War VII.
> The Legion teams with the Justice League of America and the Justice Society of America from the past to stop Mordru and the Demons Three.
> An experiment by Rond Vidar turns Jaxon Rugarth into the Infinite Man, who then tries to kill Vidar. The Legion fails to stop the Infinite Man but Vidar traps him in a time loop.
> Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl resign from the team to get married.
> Brainiac 5 discovers Glorith's involvement in the creation of the Legion and she causes him to go insane. She then orders him to eliminate anyone else who may know of her involvement which leads him to frame Ultra Boy in the murder of his old girlfriend An Ryd. The Legion puts Ultra Boy on trial for the murder but he is cleared as they learn that Pulsar Stargrave actually killed her.
> EARTHWAR <The Dark Circle frees Mordru from imprisonment to aid them in conquering Earth, but Mordru takes control. As many Legionnaires visit Weber's World to guard the signing of a peace treaty by Earth and the Dominators, the Khunds attack Earth and many Legionnaires are disabled. Karate Kid returns to the 30th century and Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, Duo Damsel and Bouncing Boy return to Earth to defend Legion headquarters. A group of Legionnaires attacks Mordru and defeats him as the Dark Circle and Khunds are also defeated. The Earth/Dominator peace treaty is signed and Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl rejoin the Legion when the Constitution is amended to allow married Legionnaires.
> Chameleon Boy exposes Brainiac 5 as the person who framed Ultra Boy in the murder of An Ryd. Brainiac 5 releases releases an immensely powerful creature called Omega, which destroys the Legion's headquarters and seems impossible to stop. Matter Eater Lad destroys Omega by eating the Miracle Machine, which Brainiac 5 had used to create the creature. Matter Eater Lad is driven insane by eating the machine and both he and Brainiac 5 are institutionalized.
> Brainiac 5's sanity is restored by the Legion.
> Tyroc resigns to accompany his home, Marzal, as it slips into limbo.
> Colossal Boy's mother, Marte Allon, becomes the new presidento f Earth.
> R.J. Brande becomes ill with Yorggian Fever and the Legion discovers that he is actually a Durlan and Chameleon Boy's father.
> Blok joins the Legion after helping them defeat the Fatal Five, led by the Dark Man.
> Ultra Boy is apparantly killed. The Legion meets Reflecto, who aids them in preventing Grimbor the Chainsman from destroying Earth. They believe Reflecto to be Ultra Boy but find that he is actually Superboy inhabited by Ultra Boy's consciousness. They travel back into the past to find the truth, but are shunted into a pocket Universe created by the Time Trapper. Ultra Boy's mind is restored to his own body and Superboy joins the Legion. The Time Trapper is captured and incarcerated in Takron Galtos, the prison planet, but it is later discovered that this Time Trapper was a fake.
> Shrinking Violet is secretly kidnapped by an Imskian rebels and replaced by a Durlan actress, Yera.
> Princess Projectra becomes the Queen of Orando after her father's death and she and Karate Kid resign to reserve member status.
> Chameleon Boy leads a small group of Legionnaires to an ill-conceived mission on Khundia and barely escape with the aid of other Legionnaires. Afterwards, Chameleon Boy is imprisoned by Earthgov for his attack on Khundia.
> As Shvaughn Erin becomes the Science Police Liaison to the Legion, Jacques Foccart brings his young sister, Danielle, to Brainiac 5 to find a cure for her illness. COMPUTO is accidently released during the procedure and attacks the Legionnaires and their headquarters causing massive damage. Jacques drinks the serum which gave the original Invisible Kid his powers and helps defeat COMPUTO.
> Invisible Kid II joins.
> Matter Eater Lad is cured of his madness and returns to Bismoll.
> THE GREAT DARKNESS SAGA <The New God Darkseid unleashes several of his servants, which are dark clones of heroic entities from the past and his own sons, to acquire mystical artifacts as he attacks and drains power from both Mordru and the fake Time Trapper held on Takron Galtos. Darkseid's servants then attempt to drain the power of the White Witch but fail due to the Legion's intervention and then attack the teachers of Sorceror's World. Two of the teachers perish but the others join with the White Witch in a spell to aid them against the evil that plagues the universe. The spell produces a baby, which ages quickly to become the New God, Izaya -the Highfather of New Genisis and the arch-enemy of Darkseid. Darkseid transports the world of Daxam to a yellow sun solar system and mentally enslaves its inhabitants, whom he then uses to help him conquer the United Planets. Using all of his power to redeem the dark servant clone of Orion from Darkseid's control and to heal the Legion-naires and temporarily boost their powers, Izaya ceases to exist. Orion attacks Darkseid and greatly weakens him before Darkseid destroys him. Superboy and Valor then attack Darkseid, weakening him further and Saturn Girl convinces him of his impending defeat due to the approach of the Daxamites who are no longer under his control. Darkseid retreats while uttering a curse on the Legion that the "purest among them will be the first to fall to darkness."
> the White Witch joins.
> Light Lass resigns and returns to Winath, breaking off her relationship with Timber Wolf.
> The charges against Chameleon Boy are dropped and he is released from prison, but he finds that his shape-changing powers no longer function.
