| Before we left Texas, we also made a stop at The Alamo film set. Amazingly dogs and humans were allowed to wonder freely round the location used by John Wayne to make his epic film. Having spent most of the trip, so far, being told that we could not take the dogs anywhere, it was quite a refreshing change to be welcomed in with open arms. |

| Incidently, The Alamo film set is well worth a look. They still have many of the original buildings built for the film and a very good John Wayne Museum. |
