You ran this house so perfectly.
We all respected you.
We watched you age so gracefully,
Until your life was through.
You were the center of our lives...
Your pills, your shots, your charts.
How sweet you were, how much you cared...
We held you in our hearts.
I close my eyes I see your face,
So soft and so serene.
Sometimes it seems like you're still here,
But no... it's just a dream.
I long to pet your soft sweet fur
And kiss your pretty head.
Oh how it hurts not seeing you
In the center of our bed.
Our lives are empty without you.
There's a hole within our hearts.
After so many years together...
It hurts to be apart.
We hope you're at the Rainbow Bridge
With all those who loved you too.
That you're young and free again
And one day we'll be with you.
Then we'll walk that Bridge together
Into the heavens above.
Until then you'll live within us...
For we're left with your love.
No one can take that love away.
It's strong, and real, and true.
Our pain and ache may be here to stay...
But the love will see us through.
I'd let you sit on me each night, with whiskers in my face.
And make sure that you always had a fresh towel in your place.
We'd move the other kitties, so you could have your spot
We'd rush to warm fresh cat food, and checked each batches' lot.
We knew you liked the Fancy Feast, tuna, chopped grill and beef;
The Figaro Seafood, and roast beef, and Iams, as treats.
We kept your charts, and set the clocks, to give your meds each day.
Now there's no one here to fill the void, and take this ache away.
There's a hole in the center of our bed, and within of our heart.
For you my sweet little Minni, needed to depart.
You told us with your pretty eyes that it was time to go.
And we will miss you more each day than you could ever know.
For you have left a chasm in our hearts, our life, our day.
I pray that God will hold you near, until we come your way.
I pray you're with the others, on the other side.
But you'll always be with us, living deep inside.
For you were worth anything that we had to do.
For you were such a special gift... and we'll always love you.
How much you touched both our lives,
How much you filled our hearts.
How much you'll live inside of us.
We're never far apart.
Some day we will be with you.
I'll see your pretty face.
Until then my sweet little girl...
No one can take your place.
The queen of all who came within her sight,
Dear Minni kept the other cats in line;
she took her medicine without a fight
and tried so hard to keep on feeling fine.
One day it just became too hard for her
the time we wished we'd never have to face
when we'd no longer get to stroke her fur,
but she would go on to that Rainbow place.
We gave her wings and let her spirit fly
and eased her way with all the tears we cried.
