58.3 km (35 miles) by car or bus from Hyderabad. A clean town with an air of timelessness. Hala is the centre of flourishing arts and crafts industry which include pottery. Lacquered woodwork and hand-woven cloth, lustrous laquerware artifacts, ladies vanity sets, jewellery boxes, stools and large cradles or hindoras' in which a bed swings in the suspended frame. The tomb of Makhdoom Nooh, a religious scholar and poet is also located here.
