April . Sailed for England as member of the Indian National Congress delegation to put the Indian case the Secretary of State who was scheduled to move a bill for the reorganization and reform of the India Council in Parliament.
May 10. Saw Lord Crewe Secretary of state for two hours at India Office as the chief spokesman of the Indian National Congress delegation.
May 14. Met British statesman at a breakfast meeting at Westminster Palace Hotel sponsored by Wedderburn, presided over by Lord Courtney and participated in, among others by 50 Liberal MPs. As the chief spokesman of the Indian National Congress explained the deputation's viewpoint on the reorganization of the India Council.
June 3. On the first reading of the India Council Reform Bill in the House of Lords which proposed to give representation to Indians in the India Council by nomination, he in a statement published in The Times considered the provisions "most disappointing" because the Bill denied "the election of the Indian members for all practical purposes."
June. Wrote to Wazir Hasan, Secretary of All India Muslim League Inviting Next All India Muslim League session to Bombay which, despite opposition from some All India Muslim League Council members was accepted.
June 17. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, pleaded for the introduction of elective principle in filling in the places on the India Council.
June 19. Gave an interview to The Daily News, on the reform of India Council reiterating the principles and measures already proposed.
Aug. 8. Attended a gala reception held for Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi at Hotel Cecil London along with other Indian National Congress notables: Sachchidananda Sinha, Lala Lajpat Rai and Sarojini Naidu, where Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi urged Indians to volunteer for military service.
Oct. Contributed an article on India Council Reforms Bill which was moved in House of Lords on 25 May 1914 and was rejected by the House on 7 July 1914, published in Fortnightly Review London).
Nov. Returned to India.
Dec. 28-30. Elected member of All India Congress Committee at Indian
National Congress session Madras.
