Airplane pilot flight training is a wonderful experience for
people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether it is the challenge of mastering a highly
complex skill or the freedom of soaring free, flying can open up a whole new world of
opportunity and excitement to just about anyone. Almost anyone with an interest in flying can visit a local Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Training Center to find out first hand what aviating is really all about. Just talking to a flight instructor can point the way to the right course of action for an individual's particular interest and goals. Visiting any FBO will bring you in contact with students as well as accomplished pilots who all have two things in common, they love flying and they love to talk about it . . . to anyone. An introductory flight will reveal what it's like to fly an airplane and can provide valuable clues about the flight school, aircraft, and individual instructors. Picking the right school and instructor can be important to success and budget. It can also provide insight into which direction and how far you want to go with your training. Flight training starts with a Student Pilot Certificate and can continue all the way up to the Airline Transport Pilot Rating. More advanced ratings require extensive training, practice and recurrent training to maintain the high level of proficiency needed to navigate today's complex airspace system. Sophisticated avionics and aircraft systems compound the complexity. Ellipsoid World Aviator gathers together some of the resources needed to become an airplane pilot andto maintain the peak level of skill that is demanded by today's complex airspace environment.
