What Jamaica
lacks in size, we make up with, our shear brilliance in the fields of music and the arts.
Our own Bob Marley, put Jamaica on the globe - introducing the world - to the
rhythmical sounds Reggae.
But our presence on
the world stage didn't start there, we gained fame in the 50s with the sounds of Ska,
Bebop and Rocksteady. Music isn't our only famous export, the artistic works of Edna Manley,
Kapo and
Albert Huie laid the groundworks for later
artistes such as Edwin McAlfin, and Ireko.
Today, the country's
musicians and artistes continue to make waves, and the page that follow, are a tribute to
these ambassadors:
