| The Long, Involved Process of Finding the Elder |
| Kakariko Village click here to download a map of the village Leave the Sanctuary and go left, then south once you come to the fortune teller's house. You are now in Kakariko Village. In the house marked on your map (look at your map with X; the mark will only be there if you talked to the man in the Sanctuary), the lady says that the Elder is gone. However, you may want to talk to her anyway, as she tells you about the Master Sword. Now leave the house and go west until you come to a dirt wall with a door in it. Go around the top until you are on the ledge above the hole in the ground beside the door. Walk south to jump in. Open the chests and pots. Now select your Bomb on the item screen, and place one with Y on the floor in front of the irregular part of the north wall, then BACK AWAY. You can be hurt by your own Bombs. Now go through the door you blasted open. In here, you get a Piece of Heart. Once you collect four of these, your life will be raised by another Heart Container. Thre are twenty-four Pieces of Heart scattered throughout both Light and Dark World. This was #1. Now leave the cave by going |

| back into the previous room and jumping off the ledge, then climbing the ladder. Once you are back outside, head east and go into the building with a green roof. Talk to the man and take note of what he says; it will assist you later in the game. Now go through the door on the north wall. In here, push block: 6 south, 4 west, 5 south, 2 south, 3 west, 10 north, 8 west. You should now have access to all four treasure chests. Now bomb open the irregular part of the north wall, and go in to get Piece of Heart #2. Exit the building, then go down the steps. Buy a Bottle from the man sitting on the orange carpet, then head west and south to talk to the kid standing by the two water troughs. He tells you where the Elder is. Now go east and into the north door of the large blue-roofed |
| building. Get a second Pot from the treasure chest. Leave the room, then go straight north and into the house there. Borrow the Net from the sick kid. If you still have a bomb left, head southeast under an archway, then into the southwestern-most house. Bomb the western wall and pass through the next room. Here you can get Piece of Heart #3. You may now exit the village where you first entered it. To the Elder Go east past the Sanctuary and Graveyard. If you are low on hearts, jump in the hole under the bush surrounded by tall grass near the river. Head south, east across the bridge (you can block arrows with your shield if you face them), then south again. Go south past the mounds of dirt and red creatures, and east the first chance you get. Immediately go north, and continue to do so until you hit a wal.. Turn east, then go north again, then jump in the pit with the small building. Inside, talk to Sahasrahala, the Elder. Pay attention to what he says. Do not bomb open the north wall yet. |
