| Getting Into the Dungeon Warp to Light World and soar to location 6 on your map. Pick up the stone on the right and step on the warping tile found under it. You will find two head-like structures poking up out of the swamp to the north. Get Piece of Heart #24. Head to the most northeastern part of the swamp, warp back to Light World, and go in the chamber under the stone to get Piece of Heart #9. Now it's time to get started. Warp back to Dark World and head to the platform between the two heads. Use Ether on its symbol to raise the entrance to the castle out of the muck. Getting the Big Key and Rod of Somaria Use your Hookshot to cross the gap and go through the door. In here, you'll face wizards; just stand somewhere where their attack can't get you and slash them with your sword when they appear. After defeating all the enemies, pass into the next room. Go downstairs, then up the northeastern flight of stairs that lead to an unlocked door. Go into the room to the right. You'll find a key in a pot in the northwest corner. Use the magic cape to hit the switch under the pot on the spikes and get another key. Go through the northern door. Head across the net and go through the northern door in this room. Pass through two more rooms and you'll find yourself in a busy place, Before you leave this room and go south, you should have gotten a key and flipped the switch to blue (head to the west if you're having trouble). Go south then east through two more rooms and you'll be in the big room again. Head south and go in the locked door. Flip the switch, then exit again. Go onto the netting and head north. Step on the switch, open the chest, and go through the door. Kill all the bomb-slugs to go into the next room. Head south back into the big room. You should have two keys. Take the long haul to enter the locked door just southeast of you. Once you have the map, go back into the big room and go through the southwestern door. Unlock the door to the west, and once you enter the next room, just STAND IN THE DOORWAY; your shield will block the fire and the tiles will crack on the doorframe. Once the tiles are done, head through the southern door. From there, go upstairs. Take out the wizards in this room and the next, then light the four fires with your lantern. Lighting them will trigger a wall in the next room to move. Go in and hop down the resultant hole. Now you have the Big Key! Yay! Use the warping tile in the next room, fend off the wizards, then go east back into the big room. Go through the southernmost door on the eastern wall. Bypass the baddies, still going east, then hightail it to the bridge that collapses under your feet. You're okay with the laser eyes if you keep moving north. Inside the treasure chest you'll find the Cane of Somaria, which will come in handy, especially in Turtle Rock. To the Boss Go back to the big room and enter the northernmost door on the western wall. Go north, then east, and north again until you find a room with nothing in it besides a gold warping tile. Step on it. Go up the staircase and unlock the door with the Big Key. Refill your magic with a pot on the left, then cross the wooden bridge and go downstairs. Immediately go west and south until you come upon a pot over a switch. Hold the switch down with a block you create from the Cane of Somaria. Go through the door directly south of you. Then go through the door on the western wall. Avoid the spike to the north by darting in the different rows to let it pass. Once you've reached the left half of the room, go north and hit the switch with an Arrow or your Hookshot while riding the conveyor belt. Go through the door to the west. Open the crack on the northern wall, but watch out for the bugs that crawl out. In this room, do all you can: flip the switch. Now you can go through the door to the west. It's finally light again! Be sure to stock up now because you're about to meet the boss. Hit the switch north of the stairs before going up a flight. Now head counterclockwise around the room to avoid baddies and step through the door to face the boss. The *snigger* Boss of Misery Mire: Vitreous This is really a joke of a boss for being this far into the game. Simply stand in the southeast corner to avoid lightning and fend off the small eyes with your sword. You'll have to slash pretty quickly. Once you've gotten rid of all mama's babies, she'll come lunging at you. Just keep swinging your sword until she's dead. And try not to laugh at how simple that was. |
