8th Dark World Castle:
Ganon's Tower
To the Tower
This is a really short trip. Just head west until you come upon what, in Light World, is the Mountain Tower. You can snag Piece of Heart #14 on the way: bash into the pile of rocks by the cave door to make a descending ladder appear. Inside, go north until you come to an apparent cliff. Push a block from the Cane of Somaria to follow the invisible paths and use bombs to wind up back outside on a ledge north of the main path. Warp to Light World to grab the Piece of Heart, warp back, and hop south back onto the main pathway. Once you reach Ganon's Tower, the Maidens will open a way for you; enter.

To the Red Mail
Go in the northwest door and down the stairs. Dash into the eastern lamp and grab the key that falls off before going through the western door. A key is in the southeastern pot; push the central block to the east to open the door -- go west. Use the Hookshot to reach the southern platform. Place a bomb by the switch when the pegs are down, and run across them before it detonates. Don't go through the southern door, though, until it has. In the next room, place another bomb by the two switches (it needs to activate only one of them -- a second will cancel out the first's effect), grab the key in the southeastern corner, and go through the eastern door. Stand on the far northern or southern end of room before triggering the switch with your Boomerang, then step on the warping tile. Dodge the fire snakes and head west. You'll find, in the middle row, a block not touching any others; push it west or east to make a chest appear. Hookshot over to it, grab the key out of it, then go through the southwestern door. Use the eastern warping tile, now the western one, now the one in the southwestern corner. You'll find one on the far eastern side of this room, which will eventually put you in reach of the door, so go through it. This room is pretty cool; hopefully you'll have full hearts to destroy your enemies long-range. If not, you'll just have to move quickly. Light the lamp on the northeastern platform by standing on the northwestern one and using the Fire Rod. The pathway that leads to the northeastern platform will be revealed (it's still there when the lamp goes out, you just can't see it). Run across as fast as you can and go through the northeastern door. Bomb open the hole in the southeastern corner and drop down to face the Armos Knights -- again! Just shoot them with an arrow apiece, then go through the northern door. Snag the Big Key and some goodies, then we're outta there. Go back into the room where you fought the Armored Knights and take the western door. Dash attack the crack on northern wall for some faeries and then go upstairs. Push the eastern to the east and open to big chest to get the Red Mail.
To Agahnim
Go through the northern door and back upstairs. If you really need the Map and Compass, fell free, but they're a pain to get and you're more than half-way done now, anyway. I personally suggest going back into the first room of the castle and up the central flight of stairs on the northern wall. Walk on pushed-down pegs to the western side of the room. Push the northern block south to open the door, then go through. Destroy the mouse-guys and go through the door. The same story holds true in this room, only you lyou have the added excitement of laser-eyes. Head through the big-key-locked dor. Stay between the orange pegs, hit the switch, destroy the cyclopses, trigger the switch under the central pot, raise the pegs again to trap as many spikes as possible, then retreat to the ladder and out the northeastern door. Dash across the bridge, avoiding the cannonballs (this may take a couple of tries) and go out the northeastern door (I honestly have no idea how to get over to that southern crack; I can bomb it open but can't cross the gap to get to it. E-mail me if you figure it out). Kill all the baddies in the conveyor-belt room and go west. The same strategy holds true in the next four rooms. Avoid the star that negates the Moon Pearl's effect by making it run into a statue and then go
through the door. Now you face the boss from the
Desert Palace again. Proceed to the next room. On the
fifth floor, destroy the Wizards -- the invisible floor looks
something like this diagram to the right. There are two
guards and two laser eyes in the next room. Kill the
Wizards in the room after that (be careful: the conveyor
belt pulls you towards the spike). In the next room, stay
on the conveyor belts because the floor breaks away.
Light the four torches in the room after this (I suggest
using the Fire Rod on the southern as you dash across the main path to conserve time). Use the sword and shield trick to block the lasers in the following room and climb the ladder. Upstairs, light the southern two lanterns with the Fire Rod first as the floor breaks away, then light the northern two to go out the door. Kill the shield-faces to get a key (there are bombs in the chests if you want/need them) and go through the locked door. Throw a bomb in the southeast corner of the room -- it should detonate at the crack in the southern wall. Go through the hole you created. Let the anti-Moon Pearl thing run into a wall before hitting the switch. There's a key in the chest in the center. Go out the southern door. Now you face the worm from the Mountain Tower once more. It's the same as before, only your sword is so powerful now that it only takes two swipes instead of six. Hookshot over to the chest that appears south of you after you defeat it, push the blocks aside, and go through the southwestern door. Hookshot the mask-faces to stun them and go upstairs. Make sure you have everything you need because it's time to face Agahnim. Again.

Second Battle with Agahnim
It's basically the same as before, only there are three of him this time. This sort of works out to your advantage (hold your "You're crazy, Jake!"s a moment longer) because you can use all your attacks against the real Wizard. You can tell which one that is because he's not see-through and his shadow is black, not gray. So you know  the drill: avoid running into Agahnim (real or otherwise) and repel all the attacks with your sword. That's that. A nice sequence will play once you defeat him (and don't question how your Flute actually worked in Dark World for once).
