| Battle With Agahnim |
| Agahnim's Front Door Go back to your house and north to Hyrule Castle, just like in the beginning of the game. Instead of going through the bush entrance, though, go straight through the front gates. Go in the big double doors and enter the room on your left. Climb straight up the ladder and go through the southern door. Now you find yourself outside. Go right until you come to a double door with lightning blocking it. Slice the lightning with your Master Sword and enter. Save the Princess Agahnim has set up an incredibly long challenge for you. To reach him, you must pass through many rooms, battling all the way. The first room is empty, so just head on through. In the next guys, kill the ball and chain guards however you please. If you don't want to get too close, just keep them at bay with your lightning attack. It takes longer to kill them, but you are sure to be safe. It will be very helpful to have a long range attack such as you full-heart-container-lightning available, so be more careful than usual about not getting hurt. In the next room, kill the guards quickly with your lightning. Get the key from the chest, then proceed to the next room. It will be very dark in here, so head straight for the door on the western wall, running right past all the nasty baddies. The next room is a maze; avoid getting hurt by the bats and blue guards. If you are having trouble navigating, light a lamp; it will burn for a short amount of time. In the next room, head straight for the door on the northern wall. Now, this next room contains archers, so run quickly to the door on the western wall. In the following room, you must kill one of the bad guys to get a key to proceed. Now kill the red-clad guards and continue on. Kill the guards in the next room. Empty all the pots in the following room to stock up on hearts and other supplies. Seeing as the next room has three bad guys who are extremely difficult to battle all at once, head straight for the door. In the next room, you will be surrounded by white statues. The best way to handle the situation is to kill the red guards from behind the statues. Next, attract the archers by tapping your sword on the southern statues (hold B and walk forward). While they are busy firing arrows into stone, push the westernmost statue to the left and make a break for the door. Now in the next room, the door is north of you. Pass through the next room and you will find Agahnim and Zelda. After Agahnim makes Zelda disappear, he will disappear from the room. Cut away the central curtains to reveal a doorway. Proceed to battle with him. Battle With Agahnim This battle is surprisingly easy, but only if you know what to do, so read all of this paragraph before fighting so you know what you are up against. Agahnim will run around the room, throwing various nasty things at you. DO NOT hit him directly with your sword; he will electrucute you. If he throws a ball of glowing fire (kamehameha wave, anyone?), repel it back at him with your sword or, believe it or not, your bug-catching net. If you have played Ocarina of Time, you will have an easier time of this. If he throws a pentagon of fire at you (you'll understand what I mean when I see it), hit it with your sword or avoid it altogether -- it cannot be used to hurt Agahnim. If he moves to the top center of the screen, move around to his left or right. If he turns to face you, follow the instructions above. If he does not turn to face you, however, watch out because he is about to throw lightning at you. Stay beside him and you should miss getting hit. After slicing him about six times with your sword, you will defeat him and be drawn into Dark World. |
