| Vash the Stampede Well, judging by all the pictures of this guy populating this part of my website, I'd say it's a good guess that he's the main character of Trigun. He's a tall fellow with spiky blond hair, very green eyes, and a spazticness that is only paralleled by perhaps... no, never mind. No one is as |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
| spaztic as Vash. His age is unknown, but he seems to never have aged once he reached adulthood. Much of his history is also unknown, save a few of his childhood recollections. He is an insanely good fighter and gunsman, mostly owing to the fact that he is genetically enhanced. He has sworn, due to the influence of his childhood teacher, Rem Saverem, to never kill anyone. What an interesting fellow.... | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Meryl Strife A commendable employee of the Bernardelli Insurance Society, Meryl Strife has been charged with finding and then keeping under twenty-four hour serveillance the legendary human typhoon, Vash the Stampede. Always with a box of complementary doughnuts handy, Meryl must track down the gunman. Once she finally comes to terms with the fact that the goofiest candidate of all is actually Vash, she begins to lose some of |

| her harsh feelings towards him. Watch out; she's not as sweet and innocent as she looks. Up under that coat of hers are stashed tons of derringers! I never know quite what to make of Meryl. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Millie Thompson Millie is Meryl's co-worker at the insurance society, as well as her good friend. She packs some heavy punch in that gun of hers. Despite the weaponry, though Millie is the most gentle and sweet character in the show. She seems a bit lacking in brain mass most of the time, |

| however, she proves in certain situations that her intelligence might well be far above her companions'. As with Meryl, I don't really know whether I should like Millie or not. She's kinda a mixed bag. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Nicholas D. Wolfwood This is my favorite character in the entire series. He is a wandering priest with a vague background who plays well with kids and can shoot a gun like no one's business. He carries a cross with him at all times; it is insanely heavy because it's so filled with large stores of weaponry -- eh, I mean, grace. Wolfwood's conflicted sense of morality and spirituality lend to his ambivalent views of Vash's non-killing philosophy. I'm making this guy out to be |

| really serious, aren't I? Well, don't get me wrong, he's almost as much of a spaz as Vash. He's just so much cooler. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Rem Saverem Though she only appears a few times in the show (since she died when Vash was still just a child), Rem is one of the most important figures in Vash's life. Her strong stance on non-violence is what influences him to fight for what and in the way that he does. Until the episode named for her, she doesn't seem to do much but sing the same song over and over. So she's a bit irritating, in my book. |

| Knives He's the only character not cool enough to get a last name :) Knives is Vash's twin brother who, like Vash, has been genetically engineered. However, he did not gain the same sets of morals from Rem as his brother. Instead, he has an intense hatred of common humanity that really has no apparent reason for existence. But whatever, it's a cool fight between them at the end, I suppose. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Legato Bluesummers He is the leader of the Gung-Ho Guns, a group out to destroy Vash, under Knives' orders. He has kinda freaky powers and a really cool voice. But anyway, he is very, very dedicated to his work. You'll see what I mean. |

| The rest of the characters aren't special enough to get their own pics :) From here on out, these characters are pretty minor. Monev the Gale Monev is a member of the Gung-Ho Guns who has trained his entire life for the purpose of killing Vash the Stampede. Episode 12: Diablo Dominique the Cyclops Dominique is a Gung-Ho Gun with the seeming ability to vanish and reappear somewhere else instantaneously at will. She also provokes some funny comments from Vash. Episode 15: Demon's Eye E.G. Mine He doesn't do much but kill and be killed, but he's another member of the Gung-Ho Guns who faces Vash. Episode 16: Fifth Moon Rai-Dai the Blade Yet another Gung-Ho Gun Vash must face. This guy is a samurai -- how random is that -- and he is the first to witness the power of Vash's hidden weapon. Episode 16: Fifth Moon Leonof the Puppetmaster This Gung-Ho Gun gets aboard the floating ship, causing many, many deaths. His puppets are close representations of himself, so it's difficult to know if one is shooting the real thing or not. Episode 20: Flying Ship Gray the Ninelives This Gung-Ho Gun is massive. And he is rumored to have nine lives. Thus the name. His fight is with Wolfwood and it's a pretty cool one. Episode 21: Out of Time Hoppered the Gauntlet Vash fights this Gung-Ho Gun who spins around like a top with his crazy-strong armor. It is sorta exciting. I guess. He sure talks enough. Episode 21: Out of Time Zazie the Beast This Gung-Ho Gun seems just like an innocent kid until he's suddenly pointing his gun at Vash. He sorta takes everyone by surprise... except maybe Wolfwood. Episode 22: Alternative Caine the Longshot We don't really get to see much of this guy. This Gung-Ho Gun doesn't do a whole lot except use his sniper rifle to shoot at Vash. And then he dies. The end. Episode 23: Paradise Chapel the Evergreen This Gung-Ho Gun is Wolfwood's former teacher. I can't really tell what side he's on deep down because he feels loyalty to his gang, but feels love towards Wolfwood. In any case, he's pretty cool, I guess. His eyes are a little scary, though. Episode 23: Paradise Midvalley the Hornfreak This, the final member of the Gung-Ho Guns is probably my favorite. He uses his saxophone to somehow use sound waves to cause others to do his bidding, to deflect bullets, and other fun stuff. His fight with Vash is a very exciting one. Episode 24: Sin |
