Basic Sequence
1. Quarter Turn
2. Natural Pivot Turn
3. Reverse Pivot Turn

Quarter Turn (Man)
1. (Start) Weight is on the Right foot, Left foot
is just off the floor and the feet are together.
2. Step 0 (Slow) Left
foot moves back, retaining the Right foot in the same position.
3. Step 1 (Slow) Transfer
weight back to the Right foot. Then move the Left-foot forward.
As the feet come together, turn 90 degrees or ¼ turn to the
right.
4. Step 2 (Quick) The
Left foot moves to the side in relation to the Right foot,
however, in direction of the flow. Also consciously move it
slightly forward with respect to one's self.
5. Step 3 (Quick) Join
the Right foot to the Left foot and take weight on it.
6. Step 4 (Slow) Left
foot moves back. Actually if the first Strong step, the Slow step
on the Right foot, which dictates the flow has to be strong; and
if it is too strong then this step is moved diagonally back. That
is backwards and slightly to the left side.
7. Step 5 (Slow) The
Right foot moves back. This is a strong step. As the left foot
moves back and feet come together turn on the Right heel 90
degrees or ¼ turn to the left.
8. Step 6 (Quick) Keeping
feet together transfer weight to the Left foot.
9. Step 7 (Quick) Transfer
weight to the Right foot. A slight rocking motion on the previous
Quick step and this one will assist the turn.
10. Step 8 (Slow) Left
foot moves forward. To maintain the balance and the flow of the
dance, step diagonally if necessary.
11. Step 0 (Check) (Slow) Right foot forward retaining the
Left foot at the back.
12. Step 1 (Slow)
Transfer weight on the Left foot. And as the Right foot comes
close to the Left foot turn 90 degrees or ¼ turn to the Right on
the Left heel.
13. Step 2 (Quick) Transfer
weight on to the Right foot, keeping the foot close too the Left
foot.
14. Step 3 (Quick) Transfer
weight back to the Left foot.
15. Step 4 (Slow) Move
the Right foot forward.
16. Step 5 (Slow) Move
the Left-foot forward. As the Right foot closes in to the Left
foot turn 90 degrees or ¼ turn too the Left on the Left Ball.
17. Step 6 (Quick) Right
foot moves in the direction of the flow and is placed on the side
and slightly forward with respect to one's self, in relation too
the Left foot.
18. Step 7 (Quick) The
Left foot closes in with the Right foot and transfer weight on
too it.
19. Step 8 (Slow) Right
foot moves back.
20. Step 0 (Check) (Slow)
Left foot moves back, retaining the Right foot forward.
21. Step 1 (Finish) (Slow)
This is the first step to continue the whole exercise again.
Quarter Turn (Lady)
1. (Start) (Slow) Weight is on the Left foot,
Right foot is just off the floor and the feet are together.
2. Step 0 (Check) (Slow) Right foot forward retaining the
Left foot at the back.
3. Step 1 (Slow)
Transfer weight on the Left foot. And as the Right foot comes
close to the Left foot turn 90 degrees or ¼ turn to the Right on
the Left heel.
4. Step 2 (Quick) Transfer
weight on to the Right foot, keeping the foot close too the Left
foot.
5. Step 3 (Quick) Transfer
weight back to the Left foot.
6. Step 4 (Slow) Move
the Right foot forward.
7. Step 5 (Slow) Move
the Left-foot forward. As the Right foot closes in to the Left
foot turn 90 degrees or ¼ turn too the Left on the Left Ball.
8. Step 6 (Quick) Right
foot moves in the direction of the flow and is placed on the side
and slightly forward with respect to one's self, in relation too
the Left foot.
9. Step 7 (Quick) The

10. Step 8 (Slow) Right
foot moves back.
