All About Jack

Jack the Pug is actually not a real pug.  He's a cross between a pug and a chihuahua, and he only uses his pug persona in public.  At home he is affectionately called the Chipughua (or sometimes "Little Piggy").

The Latest Advice From Jack

He first became interested in computers when the people he shares an apartment with decided to buy a PC.  They happened to have some time off from work and hogged the keyboard for a full week.
As soon as the people returned to work, Jack started playing Solitaire and soon mastered the mouse.  Then it was on to the World Wide Web, where he explored all the hottest doggie home pages.  After chatting with some of the pooches, he discovered online shopping.

Past Advice

For the first few months, Jack was content with secretly buying dog bones, and the occasional new leash or collar.  The people were so overworked and stressed out, they didn't even notice.  But then he graduated to steaks and gold dog tags.  It became an obsession, he was getting up in the middle of the night just to go online.
Summer came, and the people went on vacation again.  They soon realized the paw prints on the mouse, the printed websites of female dogs (mostly pugs) and the history of pet chat rooms Jack had been visiting.  That's when they had a long talk with Jack and sent him on a retreat to a nursing home.  No Internet, no phone service, just 24 hours of soap operas and game shows.

E-mail Jack

When he returned, Jack had a whole new outlook on life.  He remembered that he loved the people and wanted to help them.  He was always a good dog, he had just gone astray for a while.
People are so emotional, they get frustrated so easily.  Soon enough, the computer began to have problems and all the people could do is rant and rave.  They spent hours with Tech Support, read every manual, even bought how-to books, to no avail.  Jack decided to take matters into his own hands, so he went online and researched as much as he could about computers.  He went into chat rooms and asked for advice, he even e-mailed tech support instead of paying those per minute charges to listen to elevator music while waiting for some twelve year old to tell him he didn't know anything.
In time, Jack the Pug  became a guru.  And now, he wants to share his wisdom with you, his fans.   If you are just starting out, or even if you have been using computers for a while, when you have questions or get frustrated, don't pick up the phone (or a sledgehammer).  Instead, just ask Jack.  Send him an e-mail at:

MORAL: The next time you look at a dog and think there is nothing more than "Pet Me" or "Feed Me" going on between those fuzzy ears, remember the tail of Jack.  Treat your pets with respect, or they just might max out your credit limit on a trip to Mexico with a cute Chihuahua named "Chica".

Jack's Top Tens

What is Jack's New Year's Resolution??? Like many of us, he would like to shed a few pounds. He is currently 10 Lbs. overweight, which doesn't sound like a lot, but that's 30% of his total body weight. Jack would also like to update his site more often, but it snows where he lives and when you are only 11" tall, it takes a while to get back to the house after a walk. Thanks for all of your patience and Happy New Year!
