The Life of Jack Robinson

The Life and Works from Jack

The Smaller Box Ploy

I went to the store and what a surprise.
I just could not believe my eyes.
The price of cereal had been reduced.
I picked up a box and was nearly seduced.

But alas! The weight had been grossly reduced.
It was no bargain, I quickly deduced.
This made me curious so I looked around.
These are some of the things found.

Only ninety-six ounces  in a gallon of bleach.
Smaller containers were in my reach.
Three Pints in a one half gallon of Bryers ice cream.
As math was my best subject it makes me want to scream.

Buyer beware, when you see a bargain.
Open your eyes and don’t barge in.
It seems to me the manufactures are sneaky.
The theory, they are doing it for us is leaky.

I will keep buying food and other items I need.
I still have my body to nurture and feed.
I may change the products I buy.
If I am ask you will know why.
