Smaller Containers
I went to the store for cereal and got a surprise.
It seemed a reduced price appeared before my eyes.
It was unbelievable; I was elated and nearly seduced.
It was not the price, but the weight, I soon deduced.
I decided to see if other quantities had been reduced.
Containers, smaller in one dimension, had been produced.
Three pints in one half gallon of bryers ice cream.
When I was in school, it was four, or was it a dream.
Ninety-six ounces in a gallon of bleach.
It seems to me prices are getting out of reach.
I have trouble understanding this type of math.
Perhaps I have gone down the wrong path.
Is there not thirty-two ounces in quart.
There is just too many questions for me to sort.
There is not much I can do but keep buying food.
To stop that, I am just not in the mood.
I guess I will have to keep going to the store,
even though it may make me poor.
I really don’t know what else to do.
If you have a better idea, I will listen to you.
