Ingredients:
1 teacup Semolina (Rawa)
3 teacups Water
1 teacup Sugar
1 tablespoon Ghee or Dalda
Pinch of salt
Food Colour (Optional)
Method:
Put the rawa along with the ghee in a cooking vessel and place
it on the fire. Stir constantly till the rawa gets
a light brown colour. Add the three cups of water
and stir constantly. Make sure that there are no lumps .Add
the sugar and salt continue stirring . Keep stirring till the
mixture leaves the sides of the vessel. Add food colour if
desired . Continue stirring till the desired thickness is
achieved. (As soon as the mixture leaves the sides of the
vessel it is ready). Remove from fire and pour the mixture
into plates. Allow it to cool and serve.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Custard Powder
2 � tablespoons Sugar (or 3 � if you want it to be very sweet)
1 packet (500 ml) Milk
Method:
Mix the custard powder along with milk
and sugar in a cooking vessel till there are no lumps.
Keep on fire and stir constantly. After it begins to boil and
the custard has thickened sufficiently you can
remove the vessel from the fire. If you want a hard variety of
custard then let it boil for a longer time. If you want to
use the custard as a sauce then add � to 1-cup water before
keeping it on the fire. After removing from fire pour into
a mould. When it is cool, keep the mould in the refrigerator
and allow it to chill. Serve chilled.
