Jarir Ajluni - Econ Resources

Economics Resources & Materials

Intro

This webpage includes links to learning materials and various resources available on the web for Economists at all levels from undergraduates in the 2nd and 3rd years to postgraduate students, and probably some PhD students.
It also contain my own interpretative materials, since I regard some topics ill-explained and incredibly over-complicated for no reason, I aim by sharing these files to provide some insights to advanced students in Econometrics, the approach focus on emphasising Empirical skills and techniques to be used on real life data, (with illustrative examples), instead of providing materials on OLS regression for example! a topic found easily and freely on the web (search in
Goggle/ Yahoo)  the materials below are especially useful to  those interested in Macroeconometrics and more generally in Applied Econometrics, for advanced undergraduates and more suitable for postgraduates and probably PhD researchers in some cases, if you are already a Dr or Prof then impressing you is to some extent doubtful.
ready-to-use spreadsheets, and graphical illustration of basic theoretical concepts from my teaching experience are additional goodies provided on this page (though less ambitious than other materials), software advice and generic programmes suited to typically confusing empirical applications (e.g.: Cointegration) are probably what is the best of what this website is offering, and finally I provide brief text book and software reviews and recommended readings of Books and influential papers in leading journals on specific topics, also included other informative WebPages of leading academics, professional Economists, and similar pages to this one (well, maybe better).
All of these resources are linked to the Global Macroeconometric Modelling Project
Documents are in PDF format, you need to
