Izumi can be mean at times, and can become upset very easily. However, she usually is kind and admires all the members in the group. She had lived in Italy for two years before moving to Japan. She doesn't have many friends, probably because of the way she treats them. Before, she was not aware of her mean actions. Flashbacks of her past back in the real world occured in Izumi's mind. But after defeating Renamon, she became more friendly, and nicer to the Digidestined. Izumi prefers to be herself, and she would rather not copy what everyone else does, just to make friends.

When Izumi is pleased or impressed, she sometimes make quotes in Italian.
