Trowa Barton is the quietest and most outwardly calm of the Gundam pilots. Like Heero, he never smiles, and rarely talks. Unlike Heero however, he does have emotions, it is just that he rarely shows them. He cried when he was forced to destroy Duo Maxwell's Gundam - Deathscythe, and laughed when Heero was saying how painful his suicide attempt was.
Trowa is a mercenary by nature. This allows him to join any military organisation, even that of his enemies. He becomes an Oz soldier, and seems to betray his allies, but it is all part of and elaborate plot to destroy the organisation from within. Trowa is remarkably perceptive, and after meeting Heero only once, he could see what had happened to him. He showed this when Heero said that he was suprised that he hadn't managed to die in his suicide attempt, and Trowa replied that Heero had died a long time ago.
Trowa Barton is somewhat mysterious, as his past is unknown. We know that Trowa Barton is not his real name, he only got his code name, after seeing the real Trowa Barton killed in and enemy attack, and agreeing to take his name and identity, as a Gundam pilot.
