Mark brought in the lump of clay, that he had played with earlier. He re-explained,
"and when I opened up your locker, it was moving" he glanced at Aaron, and Stu,
"Well it was!,  why don't you do it again for me."
"OK,"  Aaron said, what should I do ?"
"Make one of your clay people, only make it real good, and detailed"   Aaron took the clay in his hands, as Stu watched,  first he rolled it into a ball, then he pinched off four corners, and rolled them into the figures appendages.  He added detail with a pencil point, adding the eyes, mouth, and buttons.
       "That's pretty neat"  Stu noted.
Aaron stood the little two inch figure on his desk top, flattening the feet, so it could stand by itself.
        "now what ?"
       Mark was grinning widely
"put it in your cabinet and  close the door"   Aaron complied.
                "Now what?"
      "open the door again"
Mark  was clearly disappointed when nothing happened.
"Well, what did you expect?"  Mark turned to leave the room, disappointed.
"Hey, Mark, you want the little guy?"  Mark didn't say anything.
"Mark, look, I'll try it again" he said putting the figure back into the cupboard"  Aaron went through the actions, but something inside him told him, there was a missing part of the puzzle. He had a hard time telling if Mark was acting or not.  Whatever Mark had expected, it wasn't happening.

By the time Stu's mom came to pick him up,  They had read each others reports, Mark was satisfied to play with another clay figure.  They even played around with the figures Stu had brought.  Aaron was not  good in history, the way Stu was, and Stu had to explain who Mussolini  was.
"He was the leader of Italy in world war two, he killed a lot of Italians, and they killed him after the war."
       The Car horn sounded outside.
"Those are neat figures, could you  leave them overnight ? I'll bring them to school tomorrow?"   Stu thought a moment, and then he said
"No, my dad would kill me, but maybe I can bring them back tomorrow"
The horn sounded again
"I'll catch you later,  thanks for the dinner, you mom  sure cooks good"

Aaron was worn out when he finally got himself ready for bed.  He washed his face, brushed his teeth, and then just before he climbed into the bed, he picked up the  Brass key from his desk,  Looked at the little figure he had made sitting on the first shelf, closed the door, took the key and inserted it into the cupboard lock and closed it with a click. Then he set the key in his desk draw, and climbed in bed.
