My Music Career

As previously mentioned I have a B.A. in Music Performance. My major instrument was Voice (Tenor), but I also have a minor in Piano. I have sung all across Pennsylvania and New York. Some of the major choruses I have sung with are: The Pittsburgh Pops Chorus (Under Marvin Hamlish), The Reading, PA Fall Festival Chorus (under Rober Page).

I studied voice with Sandra Sittler, Joanne Luchsinger, and John Dietz. I studied Piano with Bonnie Levan, Deborah Holloway, John Sartori, And Judith Radell. I studied conducting with James Dearing.

I had the great privledge of singing with the choral groups at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I sang with the University Chorus, University Chorale, and the Chamber Singers. I believe that these groups are what really formed my desire to be a choral conductor.

I have also had the honor of singing for the Syracuse Gay and Lesbian Chorus for 2 years under the direction of Stev Bates-Congdon. I was the President of their Board of Directors after 6 months of membership.

I have been the Tenor soloist for many events. I have sung arias and movements from Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Creation, Stravinsky Mass, Schubert's Mass in G and Eb, Mozart's Grand Mass in C minor, Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, and many others.

I have accompanied many people and played piano for musicals, operas, and concerts.

Currently, I am the Choral Director for Reading Area Community College. We just had our first concert on June 4, 2004. As soon as I get the files, I will put some of the selections from the concert here.

I also am expanding my repetoire to include pop music. I am the keyboardist for the band Mere Image. This is new for me and I am working very hard to learn to play in different pop styles and I am very excited to be making music with this great group of talented musicians.
