Unit 16 Database Systems

Databases really are everywhere. They are used to store information about all kinds of different things including people, stock, suppliers and customers.

This unit will help you to develop skills in using databases. You will learn how to ensure that data is correctly input to a system and you will explore the types of information you can get out of a system.

You will be assessed through coursework which could be in the form of: • Presentations • Databases and test plans • Witness statements of an observed practical exercise • Web pages and wikis • Report/user guide or document
