SAUCES
PESTO SAUCE- 2 points
      
4 garlic cloves
       2 cups packed basil leaves
       4 tbs. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
       1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 cup pine nuts
       3 tbs. olive oil
  
Drop the garlic through the food chute with the food processor on; process until finely minced.  Add the basil leaves, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and pine nuts and process until finely minced.  With the food processor on, slowly pour the olive oil through the food chute and process until well blended.  This recipe makes about 1 cup of pesto. A serving is
2 tbs. for 2 points. 1/2 cup of pesto added to 8 ounces of pasta will serve 4 for 6 points/serving.
